数字经济赋能制造业转型升级:异质性影响机理与效应

Digital Economy Empowering Manufacturing Transformation and Upgrading:Mechanism and Effects of Heterogeneous Impact

基于2007—2019年的中国省域面板数据,利用调整的投入产出表,从产业数字化和数字产业化两方面对省域数字经济规模进行了核算,并对数字经济赋能制造业转型升级的异质性影响效应进行了分析。研究结果表明:数字经济发展存在明显的地域差异,整体呈现东部地区发展程度高、西部地区发展程度低的状况;数字经济对东部地区制造业转型升级有着显著的正向影响,而其对中、西部地区的作用尚未得到充分发挥;数字经济发展对制造业转型升级存在以创新能力和人力资本为中介变量的内在机制,但人力资本的中介效应在中、西部地区并不显著。

Based on China's provincial panel data from 2007 to 2019,this paper accounted for the size of the digital economy in each province using adjusted input-output tables in terms of both industrial digitization and digital industrialization.Then we further investigated the heterogeneous impact effects of digital economy-enabled manufacturing transformation and upgrading.The results showed that,the development of digital economy had significant regional differences,which was better in eastern regions than that in western regions.Meanwhile,digital economy had a significant positive impact on the transformation and upgrading of the manufacturing industry in eastern regions,but its effect in central and western regions had not yet been fully exploited.Moreover,there was an inherent mechanism,setting innovation capability and human capital as mediating variables,in the effect of the development of digital economy on the transformation and upgrading of the manufacturing industry.But this mediating effect was also not evident in central and western regions.
