After the new-generation migrant workers go to the city, they are experiencing the adaptive transformation from rural life to urban life.Influenced by the external social environment, this group has its particularity in the aspects of identity, lifestyle and behavior choice after entering the city.Based on the existing research results, this paper tries to build a model of the social integration process of the new-generation migrant workers, and carries out questionnaire design and field survey with reference to this model.Through the analysis of questionnaire data,it is found that new-generation migrant workers in J province can adapt to the urban lifestyle quickly, but there are still differences in the concept of identity.Limited interpersonal communication is the main dilemma faced by this group in urban life, and there is an obvious tendency of social network“internal competition”,which has become a restrictive factor for the community governance of the new-generation migrant workers. In this regard,we can improve the urban living conditions of the new-generation migrant workers and enhance the basic level governance ability of urban communities in China by strengthening the social identity confidence of the new-generation migrant workers, alleviating the tendency of the new-generation workers’social network“internal competition”,and constructing the multi-party cooperation and participation model of community affairs.
