The paper aims to interpret the farmer’s information literacy instruction process with the concept of the whole process, recognize the continuity of the instructor’s information literacy instruction behavior, focus on the development of relevant elements in the process, and further explore the realization path of expanding the scope of instruction. It uses the content analysis method to sort out the commonalities of farmers’ information literacy instruction behavior, presents the process of farmers’ information literacy instruction, and uses the knowledge ecology theory to explain the role of knowledge subject, knowledge content, knowledge environment, and knowledge technology, as well as the existing knowledge flow mode in the instruction process. On the basis of further analyzing the interaction among the four knowledge elements, the paper highlights farmers’ willingness to participate in the process, focuses on the micro-level of knowledge, and constructs a model of the instruction process of farmers’ information literacy. From the perspective of the instructors, it explores the realization of farmers’ information literacy instruction path with emphasis on the dual-energy function, the world of personal information, local knowledge, and empowerment behavior, It provides a theoretical basis for formulating an instruction strategy that has an enabling effect and can achieve an effective connection between the instructor and the farmer.
