Effect of PDCA Continuous Quality Improvement on the Efficiency of Operating Room Equipment Management

目的研究PDCA持续质量改进管理对手术室设备管理效率的影响。方法2017年6月—2018年5月期间我院手术室设备采取常规管理方式,2018年6月—2019年5月对手术室设备实施PDCA持续质量改进管理模式,实施前后随机抽取手术室设备共320件,比较实施前后手术室设备放置合格率、配置合格率、仪器操作正确率、与手术医生满意率。记录实施前后每周医疗设备平均每周使用次数、设备损坏排查次数、设备发生故障次数、设备每周维修次数及设备相关不良事件发生次数,比较两组医疗设备管理情况。结果实施后手术室设备放置合格率、配置合格率,仪器操作正确率及手术医生总满意率均高于对照组,差异具有统计学意义(P<0.05)。实施后医疗设备平均每周使用次数、设备损坏排查次数均高于实施前,差异具有统计学意义(P<0.05)。设备发生故障次数、设备每周维修次数、设备相关不良事件发生次数均低于实施前,差异具有统计学意义(P<0.05)。结论PDCA持续质量改进管理可显著提高手术室设备管理效率并降低设备相关不良事件发生次数,提高手 术医生满意率。

Objective To study the effect of PDCA continuous quality improvement on the efficiency of operating room equipment management.Methods From June 2017 to May 2018,the operating room equipmentmanagement was carried out by routine method,while from June 2018 to May 2019,the PDCA continuous quality improvement management model was implemented for operating room equipment management.A total of 320 pieces of operating room equipment were respectively selected before and after the implementation to compare the qualified rate of equipment placement,qualified rate ofallocation,correct rate of instrument operation,and surgeon’s satisfaction rate before and after implementation.The average use frequency of medical equipment per week,check frequency of equipment trouble,times of equipment failures,times of equipment repairper week,and frequencyof equipment-related adverse events were recorded before and after the implementation.Meanwhile,medical equipment management was compared.Results After the implementation,the qualified rate of equipment placement,qualified rate ofallocation,correct rate of instrument operation,and surgeon’s total satisfaction rate were improved significantly(P<0.05).The average use frequency of medical equipment per week,and check frequency of equipment trouble were higher than those before the implementation(P<0.05).The times of equipment failures,times of equipment repair per week,and frequency of equipment-related adverse events were lower than those before the implementation(P<0.05).Conclusion PDCA continuous quality improvement management can significantly improve the efficiency of equipment management in operating rooms while reducing the frequency of equipment-related adverse events and increasing surgeons’satisfaction.
