The main function of the disc tool magazine on the machining center is to store and exchange cutters.The accuracy of tool change directly affects whether the tool handle can be inserted into the spindle of the machining center smoothly.In order to study the positioning accuracy of the tool holder in the machining center of the disc tool magazine before inserting tool,before broaching tool and after broaching tool,and their relationship with each other,a positioning accuracy detection method based on the machine coordinate controllability of the machining center and the laser displacement sensor is proposed.Firstly,the mathematical model of the tool holder's center is established,and the calibration of the testing system is carried out with the help of the machine coordinates of the machining center.Secondly,the positioning accuracy of the tool holder at different stages is obtained based on the time series analysis of the measuring data.Finally,the positioning accuracy of the tool holder before inserting tool,before broaching tool and after broaching tool is obtained by a large number of experiments.The changing rule with the number of tool change and the correction amount from insertion to broach and from broach to the center of the handle of broach can provide important basis for the prediction of tool changing performance of tool magazine.
