摘要
实现性别平等、促进妇女发展是西非地区实现可持续发展和地区一体化的重要条件,为此,西非国家经济共同体不断发展性别平等政策,并且在建立性别平等机构、性别管理体系和区域联络网三方面加强了西非地区的性别平等机制建设,逐步形成了一套促进地区性别平等的体系。在这些政策和机制的保障下,该地区妇女的参政能力得到一定提升,经济发展权得到更多保障并享有了更公平的公共服务。但是,为进一步地实现地区性别平等,西共体仍需要应对成员国性别政策落实不到位、地区安全局势不稳定和新冠肺炎疫情等挑战。
Achieving gender equality and promoting women’s development are important conditions for realizing sustainable development and regional integration in West Africa.To this end,ECOWAS has been developing gender policies and strengthening its gender equality mechanisms through the establishment of the gender equality agencies,a gender management system and the coordination of regional networks,as a result of which a system promoting regional gender equality has been gradually formed.With the guarantee of these policies and mechanisms,women’s political participation,economic development and access to public services in the region have been enhanced.However,in order to further achieve regional gender equality,ECOWAS still needs to overcome challenges such as inadequate implementation of gender policies by member states,unstable regional security conditions and the COVID-19 pandemic.
