Redefinition of Food Security

面对粮食安全、食品安全和生态安全的多重压力,中国应适时调整农业发展战略,实现农业的可持续发展。粮食安全的可持续性取决于生态安全,而粮食安全又是食品安全的基础,只有实现数量的安全,才能保证质量的安全。可以说粮食安全、生态安全、食品安全这三者之间存在着相互联系、相互影响的因果关系。在新的时代条件下,粮食安全的概念应该被重新定义,它不仅包含数量的安全,还应该包括生态安全、食品安全、粮食主权安全等一系列新的内涵。

Facing the multiple pressures of food security, food safety and ecological security, China should adjust its agricultural development strategy in a timely manner to achieve sustainable agricultural development. The sustainability of food security depends on ecological security,and food security is the foundation of food safety. Quality safety can be guaranteed only by realizing quantitative safety. It can be said that there is a causal relationship among food security, ecological security and food safety. In the new era, the concept of food security should be redefined. It doesn’t only include quantitative security, but also include a series of new connotations such as ecological security, food safety and food sovereignty security.
