This paper introduces the silicone mold technology in the rapid tooling or called RT,discusses the manufacturing methods of silicone mold,which includes the cutting parting surface method in vacuum pouring method,its technical essentials and characteristics,and the key points of cutting analysis method.Taking plastic bottle caps as an example,the focus is on the optimal design to reduce the cost of mold development from the original processing,mold frame making,silicone weighing,mold opening and other links.
