摘要
1602年3月20日,荷兰联合东印度公司(VOC)在阿姆斯特丹成立。为了获得丰厚的贸易利润,荷兰人不断组织前往亚洲的商船队,力求形成垄断的亚欧贸易网络,这一行动无疑将挑战当时域内最大的既得利益者:西班牙和葡萄牙。1609年,荷兰人到达日本平户,获得了德川家康的朱印状许可进行贸易;1619年,荷兰人又攻占了爪哇岛上的雅加达,将那里作为荷属东印度的总部,并命名为"巴达维亚"。眼看亚洲内部即将形成自给自足的贸易网络,独缺与中国建立正式的贸易关系。但荷兰人也非常清楚地意识到,与葡萄牙等的贸易竞争是场"零和游戏",要想独占中国对外贸易的丰厚商业利润,就必须在中国海域取而代之,而澳门将是这场贸易争夺战中最为重要的环节之一。
In order to compete for trade rights with China,the Netherlands fought with Portugal in the China Seas for many times in the first half of the 17^(th)century.The most intense military conflict between these two parties took place in Macao in 1622.However,the Dutch didn’t accomplish the goal in this attack.Scholars used to interpret the Portuguese literatures to describe how brave the Portuguese fought against the Dutch attack.Instead,few Dutch literatures were mentioned to analyze how the Dutch prepared before the skirmish and how they took action in the skirmish.According to the analysis of the relevant Dutch literatures,it can be inferred that the Dutch actually had serious deficiencies in strategies,tactics and preparations for this military operation,which led to the bitter consequence.
