Wanjiang Daily in Wuhu,Anhui Province is the starting point of Zhang Henshui’s life and the garden where he published his novels.He carefully managed the newspaper supplement an took this as a position to carry out the patriotic propaganda during the May 4th movement.He published Purple Jade Into Smoke and Southern Acacia Spectrum for the first time,accumulated journalism experience and laid the foundation of literary creation.As a journalist,he had a deeper understanding of the society,broadened his horizon and expanded his influence.
