The COVID-19 pandemic has drastically changed our lives, and has also raised concerns from researchers and scholars of many disciplines. This article intends to discuss from the two areas of pandemic/epidemic history and public health history using interdisciplinary and cross-cultural research method. The necessity of studying the history of pandemics goes without saying.Hopefully the research of pandemic history will give valuable suggestions or references to how to prevent pandemic, and when it happens how human get out of the predicament. Public health provides an important link between the government and the people. How to realize the extremely important position of public health in national security? How to build good public health system? The relationship between individuals and public health. How to empower individuals with public health awareness? Those are topics worth thinking about. The interdisciplinary and cross-cultural medical social history research method that incorporates humanistic consciousness calls researchers from all disciplines to expand their domains, respect each other, and work together.
