Preliminary Report on Introduction Test of New Varieties of Cowpea

[目的]为优化豇豆产业结构,筛选出适宜北海当地栽培的优质高产豇豆品种。[方法]选取"丰豇一号""夏秋美"2个豇豆新品种和对照"农丰9号"进行试种对比试验。[结果]"夏秋美"长势好、产量高,采收期长,商品荚外观佳;"丰豇一号"产量较对照品种"农丰9号"低,采收期短,豆荚易鼓籽,商品荚外观差。[结论]豇豆新品种"夏秋美"具有很好的推广价值,可在当地进行推广。

[Objective]In order to optimize the industrial structure of cowpea and screen out highquality and high-yield cowpea varieties suitable for local cultivation in Beihai.[Method]The contrast test were conducted,two new varieties of Cowpea,"Fenggong No.1 and Xia Qiu Mei",were selected and compared with the control variety"Nongfeng No.9".[Res ult]"Xia Qiu Mei"had the follows advantages:growth well,high yield,long harvest period and good appearance of commodity pods.The yield of"Fenggong No.1"is lower than that of the control variety"Nongfeng No.9",the harvest period is short,and the appearance of the commercial pod is poor.[Conclusion]The new cowpea variety"Xia Qiu Mei"has good promotion value and can be popularized in local area.
