To summarize Professor CAO Yi's clinical experience in acupuncture treatment of scleroderma.Professor CAO Yi believed that the early stage of scleroderma was mostly deficiency of spleen and lung Yang,and a long illness can lead to deficiency of kidney Yang,combined with invasion of external pathogens,obstruction of meridians,and skin failure.The treatment was mainly to regulate and supplement the lung,spleen and kidney,remove phlegm and dampness,strengthen the body and expel pathogenic factors,promote Qi and blood circulation,cooperate with emotion and diet regulation,and treat both symptoms and root causes.The clinical effect was remarkable.
