摘要
以大湾区广佛地区职业院校毕业生为调查对象,通过逐步回归分析来研究职业院校毕业生英语水平与收入水平间的关系。SPSS分析结果表明:职业院校毕业生英语水平不能显著影响其收入水平;相比之下,其他自变量(职位、毕业时间、性别、学历、公司位置、工作年限以及工作岗位等)更显著影响毕业生收入水平;大部分学习EGP的毕业生认为英语对工作岗位没有作用,相比之下EOP的学习对工作帮助更大;具有十年以上工作经验的毕业生认同英语在岗位晋升过程中的重要性。
Take the college graduates from Guangzhou-Foshan of Greater Bay Area as the respondents,and analyze the relationship between their English proficiency and salaries by stepwise regression analysis.The result shows that the English proficiency of college graduates doesn’t have any positive influence on their salaries;comparatively speaking,other variables like(job positions,graduation time,diploma,gender,geographic location of companies,working experience and job posts etc.)have significant impact.Most EGP learners deny the help of English study for their current jobs while EOP learners hold opposite opinions.Graduates with over 10 years of working experience identify the importance of English on the course of job promotion.
