态度资源视域下国家形象建构的话语策略研究——以《新时代的中国能源发展》白皮书英译本为例

DISCOURSE STRATEGIES IN THE CONSTRUCTION OF NATIONAL IMAGE FROM THE PERSPECTIVE OF ATTITUDE RESOURCES:A CASE STUDY OF THE ENGLISH VERSION OF ENERGY IN CHINA′S NEW ERA

基于评价理论的态度系统,通过自建语料库对《新时代的中国能源发展》白皮书英译本进行积极话语分析,研究其态度资源的分布特征,探讨各类态度资源传递的话语意义及背后的意识形态,以此剖析对中国国家形象的建构。研究发现:白皮书英译本中关键词和高频搭配词的使用反映了我国坚持走新时代能源高质量发展之路的态度和决心;政府善于使用各类态度资源建构积极正面的国家形象,分别使用判断资源、鉴赏资源、情感资源建构了“开放合作、务实担当”“绿色发展、造福人类”“包容自信、和谐共赢”的中国形象。各类态度资源和话语策略的使用表明了新时代中国对于未来能源发展的立场和举措,实现了对国家形象的积极建构。

In the framework of Appraisal Theory,positive discourse analysis is conducted based on the self-built corpus of Energy in China′s New Era.The distribution of attitude resources is discussed to explore the meanings conveyed and the ideology behind them and to further demonstrate the construction of the national images of China.The results indicate that the keywords and high-frequency collocations in the text reflect China′s attitude and determination to develop high-quality energy in the new era.The government is good at using various attitude resources to build positive national images.The judgment resources are adopted to build the national image of China as“open and cooperative,pragmatic and responsible”.The appreciation resources are employed to build the national image as“green development for the benefits of mankind”.And the affect resources are used to build the national image as“inclusive and confident,harmonious and win-win”.The use of these attitude resources and discourse strategies in the text conveys China′s stance and attitude towards future energy development and realizes the active construction of the national image.
