New development of construction methods of mutant library in rice: CRISPR/Cas9 system

摘要 水稻是世界上重要的粮食作物之一。随着水稻全基因组测序的完成,迫切需要开展基因组功能的研究,其中突变体的获得是至关重要的环节。构建水稻突变体库是挖掘优异种质资源、分离并鉴定基因功能最直接的办法。概括了几种早期常用的突变体库构建方法,重点介绍了利用CRISPR/Cas9基因编辑技术创制突变体库的研究进展。 Rice is one of the most important food crops in the word.With the completeness of rice genome sequencing, it is urgent to carry out genome function research. Therefore, creation of mutants is a crucial step. The construction of mutant library is an effective way to mine excellent germplasm resources, isolate and identify genes function. This paper summarized several previous methods of constructing mutant libraries, and focused on utilizing recent CRISPR/Cas9 gene editing technology. The paper provides theoretical suggestions for accelerating creation of mutant library in rice.
