Objective To investigate the score of Birmingham cognitive assessment scale(BCoS) and its influencing factors of spouses of patients with post-stroke hemiplegia. Methods Four hundred and eighteen patients with post-stroke hemiplegia with a modified Rankin scale(MRS) scoreof more than 3 points were selected from the stroke center of Zhengzhou people’s Hospital from January 2018 to December 2020.The BCoS was used for investigation and research. The collected data were analyzed by univariate and multivariate logistic regression. Results The total score of caregiver load was(56.36±11.21) points, from high to low:emotional load with(13.26±2.13) points, social load with(25.61±4.17) points, body load with(14.37±3.82) points, economic load with(3.12±1.09) points.Multivariate logistic regression analysis showed that age, education level and living with patients were the influencing factors of spouse load in patients with post-stroke hemiplegia(P<0.05).Conclusion This study found that age, education level and living with patients are important factors affecting the spouse load of stroke patients.Clinical intervention measures should be taken to reduce the burden of spouses of post-stroke hemiplegic patients,so as to improve the rehabilitation effect of stroke.
