摘要
作为通用学术英语技能,口头演讲能力是本科阶段学术英语课程培养目标之一。本研究针对海军军医大学医学本科生口头演讲存在的问题,在医学英语教学实践中探索提升医学生英语口头演讲能力的途径。在本科二年级学生的教学过程中,教师通过借鉴TED演讲模式和策略,明确评分细则,以学生为主体,以专业为导向,综合内容、语言和技能,全面培养学生的口头演讲能力。最后,本文基于实践经验提出提高医学本科生演讲能力的建议。
As a general academic English skill,oral presentation competence is one of the learning objectives of academic English course at undergraduate level.In light of the problems existing in oral presentations of medical undergraduates of Naval Medical University,this research explores ways to improve their oral presentation capabilities in teaching practice.In the medical English course for second-year medical undergraduates,the teacher introduces TED model and successful TED strategies,clarifies the grading rules,adopts a student-centered approach with major-orientated teaching design,and integrates content,language and skills to comprehensively cultivate students’oral presentation ability.Finally,this paper puts forward suggestions to enhance presentation competence of medical undergraduates.
