A Return to the Historical Site and Rewriting of a History of Literature:A Summary of a Symposium on Newspapers and Magazines Hong Kong and the Study of Literature in Chinese

世界华文文学的学科建设,从史料整理、重点作家作品研究到文学史的建构,已日臻成熟。《报刊香港:历史语境与文学场域》不仅展现出对文学史多元探索的成功示范,也表明华文文学研究迈向一个新的发展阶段。“《报刊香港》与华文文学研究”学术座谈会主要从“返回历史现场”、“重写文学史”、“展望华文文学研究”这三方面展开讨论,既是对《报刊香港》写作经验的总结与反思,也是对香港文学研究的推进与展望,必将进一步推动世界华文文学研究向纵深领域发展。

The disciplinary construction of world literature in Chinese is increasingly maturing,from the arrangement of historical material,through the study of works by major writers,to the construction of a history of literature.Newspapers and Magazines Hong Kong:the Historical Context and Site is not only a successful example of the multi-faceted exploration of a history of literature but also a new phase of development in the study of literature in Chinese.The symposium on Newspapers and Magazines Hong Kong and the Study of Literature in Chinese had discussions of three aspects,such as‘A return to the historical site,’‘Rewriting of a history of literature,’and‘An outlook on the study of literature in Chinese.’It is both a summary and a reflection on the writing experience of Newspapers and Magazines Hong Kong on top of being an advancement of and outlook on the study of Hong Kong literature as it will inevitably push forward the study of world literature in Chinese to even more depth.
