摘要
在系统功能语法理论框架下,本文主要探讨中国大学生构建正式文体时语法隐喻产出能力。首先,研究总结出大学生语法隐喻使用存在的问题:隐喻式尤其名词化大都表现出阶段性隐喻操控特征;隐喻式实例很少发挥相应语篇功能以有效构建语篇;隐喻式使用与语体不符;语法隐喻使用意识有待提高。其次,结合大学生语法隐喻使用的个案具体分析,更深入揭示学生使用隐喻式的实际问题及其使用语法隐喻构建正式议论文的真实能力。最后,研究提出可能的解决方法就是语法隐喻及其语篇效应的明晰教学。
Under the framework of Systemic-Functional Grammar, this paper makes an exploration of the college students’ productive competence of grammatical metaphor(GM for short) when construing formal essay. The GM studied in this article includes not only the correct and fully-employed form but also the incomplete reconstrual or even the mistake considered in traditional grammar. It is found that nominalizations mostly employed by the students reflects characteristics of the intermediate metaphorical control;the GM instances are seldom exploited to effectively develop their textual functions;the use of interpersonal metaphor deviate from the requirements of the formal essay;the awareness of the use of GM is still needed to develop. The possible solution proposed is to teach GM and its logogenetic impact explicitly and guide students to fully exploit the potential of GM to express meanings in texts.
