向培良认为,情绪表现贯穿在戏剧中,从剧作家创作、到演员表演、最后为观众接受,这是情绪主体性表现的完整体系。情绪是经由内心深处的性格而发出的,以动作为中介,直到观众被情绪所感染为终结。情绪的传达是中介,最后趋向于内在的生命力,使得人生获得向升的生命力,可以促成人格和德行的形成,情绪的表现更贯穿着一种教育的功能。
