6G latest Progress and Future Development

摘要 随着5G的大规模商用,6G研究也成为了移动通信行业新的研究热点。全球通信发达的国家和地区纷纷出台6G研发规划。面向2030年,如何定义6G,如何支撑6G突破现有技术的束缚,构建全新的能力体系,推动移动通信产业的进一步升级,是目前学术界和工业界都在努力研究的问题。首先,回顾全球6G发展近况和各个国际行业组织的6G工作规划,展望6G的标准化发展时间表;然后从2030年的社会发展愿景出发,推导出6G的网络技术指标需求及其能力拓展需求,分析6G潜在的候选频段以及不同的频段使用方式与组网;着重介绍业界关注的无线传输技术主要领域的进展、面临的问题和挑战等,包括分布式Massive MIMO、电磁超材料、场景化的编码与调制优化、感知通信一体化以及AI辅助的空口等,同时介绍面向空天地海一体化的融合网络、三层四面的新型6G网络架构;最后对6G发展面临的挑战进行概要总结。 With the fast launch of 5G commercial network,6G becomes the hot topic for academy and industry of mobile communication.The countries and regions of advanced mobile market have published their plan for 6G.Towards 2030,6G research focuses on how to define 6G and enable its new capabilities and performance requirements through breaking out the bottleneck of the communication theory and manufacturing skill.This paper first reviews the recent progress of global 6G development,the 6G work plans of various international industry organizations,and looks forward to the timetable for the standardization of 6G.Then,starting from the social development vision in 2030,it derives the 6G network performance requirements indicators and capabilities expanding demand,analyzes 6G potential candidate frequency bands and different frequency band usage and networking,reviews the progress,problems and challenges in the main areas of wireless transmission technology that the industry pays attention to,including Massive MIMO,electromagnetic metamaterials,Scenario-based coding and modulation optimization,sensing and communication integration,AI-assisted air interface,etc.It also introduces a converged network oriented to the integration of air,space,and ground,and a new 6G network architecture with three layers and four planes.Finally,the challenges faced by 6G development are discussed.
