摘要
以本科生高、低水平组一年内三次定时写作文本为语料,探索并比较了大学英语写作词汇丰富性在组内和组间发展及趋势。研究发现:写作中的词汇变化性与学生英语水平密切相关,但发展趋势呈非直线性特征,学生在大四出现了词汇高原现象;词汇复杂性随着学生年级的升高而提升,低年级与高年级学生作文间的词汇复杂性均存在显著差异;词汇密度整体呈上升态势,词汇密度的发展与学生的英语水平呈正相关,但高、低水平组组内学生作文之间的词汇密度不存在显著性差异;平均词长的发展变化与学生语言水平关联密切,词频分布显示学生过度使用高频词。由这些发现可知,在英语水平提高过程中,学生写作词汇丰富性不同维度的习得规律和发展轨迹不尽相同。
In this study,the development and trend of lexical richness of English writing between groups were explored and compared based on the data of regular writing three times a year in the high and low level groups of English majors.The results in this study showed that the variability of vocabulary in writing is closely related to students’English level,but the development trend is non-linear.Students have a vocabulary plateau in their senior year;Lexical complexity increases with the increase of students’grade.There are significant differences in lexical complexity between junior and senior students’compositions;The development of vocabulary density is positively correlated with students’English level,but there is no significant difference in vocabulary density between high-level and low-level groups;The development of average word length is closely related to students’language level.The word frequency distribution shows that students overuse high-frequency words.Based on the data of regular writing three times a year in the high and low level groups of English majors,it can be found from these findings that in the process of improving English level,the acquisition rules and development tracks of students’writing vocabulary richness in different dimensions are different.
