太南是太行山南部地区的简称,战前包括晋东南17县。在历史上,太南特委主要有五大贡献,一是1938年10月,建立了抗日政权,统一了政权的领导,进行了群众武装工作,太南抗日根据地的初步形成。二是重建了晋城市党的领导机构。三是1939年10月,在陵川县平城镇召开了隆重的“八路军一二九师独立游击支队整编大会”。四是培育了以抗战名曲《在太行山上》为代表的抗战文化。五是开展了“红五月”突击建党活动。

Tainan is the abbreviation of Southern Taihang Mountains,including the 17 counties in south⁃eastern Shanxi before the war.In history,Tainan Special Committee made five major contributions.First,in October 1938,it established the Anti-Japanese regime,unified the leadership of the regime and carried out the mass armed work.The Tainan Anti Japanese Base Area was initially formed.The second is to rebuild the leading organization of the Party in Jincheng city.Thirdly,in October 1939,a grand“reorganization meeting of the independent guerrilla detachment of the 129th division of the Eighth Route Army”was held in Pingcheng Town,Lingchuan County.The fourth is to cultivate the anti-Japanese war culture represented by the famous anti-Japanese war song“on Taihang Mountain”.Fifth,the party building campaign of“red May”was launched.
