Objective: To study the impact of the information construction of the compact county medical community on the service capacity of township health centers. Methods: Based on the 2017-2020 micro-data of township health centers in 78 counties(cities, districts) in Shanxi Province, a double difference model was constructed to evaluate the impact of the information construction of the compact county medical community on the service capacity of township health centers. Results: The information construction of the compact county-level medical community has a significant impact on the total number of consultations and bed occupancy rates in township hospitals, and has a positive relationship with the total number of consultations in township hospitals, which is beneficial to increase the total number of consultations in township hospitals; However, it has a negative relationship with the utilization rate of hospital beds, which reduces the utilization rate of hospital beds in township hospitals. Conclusion: The role of compact county-level medical community informatization in improving the service capacity of township hospitals cannot be ignored. All localities should use compact county-level medical community informatization as a starting point, rationally use health resources, enhance grass-roots service capabilities, and promote Hierarchical Medical System.
