Objective To evaluate the clinical efficacy and safety of Huanglian Wendan Decoction combined with conventional western medicine in the treatment of premature ventricular contraction. Methods CNKI,VIP,Wanfang,PubMed,the Cochrane Library,EMbase, and other databases were searched for the randomized controlled trial(RCT)of Huanglian Wendan Decoction in the treatment of premature ventricular contraction from January 1990 to January 2021.Then,two researchers independently screened the literature, extracted the data, and evaluated the risk of bias in the included studies.Meta-analysis was performed using RevMan 5.3 software. Results Thirteen RCTs involving 946 patients were included.Meta-analysis results showed that,Huanglian Wendan Decoction with western medicine could increase the total effective rate[OR=3.63,95%CI(2.52,5.23),P<0.00001],decrease the total number of 24-hour premature ventricular beats[MD=-408.55,95%CI(-733.21,-83.89),P=0.01],improve TCM syndromes[MD=-5.53,95%CI(-10.90,-0.15),P=0.04].Conclusion Huanglian Wendan Decoction with western medicine can more effectively reduce the frequency of ventricular premature beats, alleviate the TCM syndromes, and improve the effectiveness of the treatment of ventricular premature beats.
