The Textual Research on Wu Dacheng’s Letters to Deping’a in 1881

近期发现的吴大澂致德平阿信札,并未引起学界的足够重视。这些信札作于光绪七年吴大澂帮办吉林边务期间,内容主要涉及吉林东部地区的练兵、垦荒、对俄交涉等事宜。这些信札对研究吉林三边地区的开发,对研究清政府与俄国人在吉林边界地区的交涉,对补充吴大澂的相关研究,都有一定价值。

The recently discovered letters written by Wu Dacheng to Deping’a have not attracted enough attention from the academic circles.These letters were written during Wu Dacheng’s tenure in Jilin in 1881.The content of these letters mainly involved the training border guards,the reclamation of farmland,and negotiations with Russia in eastern Jilin.These letters are very helpful for studying the development of the eastern part of Jilin,the negotiations between the Qing government and the Russians in the border area of Jilin,and the supplement of the contents of Wu Dacheng’s related research.
