With the increasing difficulty of employment and the lowering of the self-employment threshold, more and more migrant workers choose self-employment,and whether they can sustain self-employment depends on their employment quality. In this paper, the variable of social capital availability and the research of psychological capital regulation are introduced from migrant workers’own characteristic manpower. The internal mechanism of the two factors affecting the self-employment quality among migrant workers is explored, and the measurement standard of employment of these migrant workers is investigated,so as to help improve their self-employment quality. It is found that the availability of social capital has a significant positive impact on self-employment quality.Psychological capital also has a significant positive impact on the self-employment quality among migrant workers and negatively regulates the relationship between the availability of social capital and self-employment quality. It is concluded that there are intergenerational differences in self-employment quality among migrant workers. The self-employment quality among the older generations of migrant workers is higher than new ones.
