长期以来,西夏文献鲜为人知。随着《中国藏西夏文献》、《俄藏黑水城文献》、《英藏黑水城文献》和《法藏敦煌西夏文文献》的出版发行,对西夏历史和西夏文献的研究进入了一个新的阶段。这四大收藏地西夏文献的影印刊布,使西夏文献跃然纸上,包括西夏文字的创制、佛教文献的翻译史和印刷史,更使传统汉文典籍所载的西夏史得到了极大地扩展与丰富。

For a long time,Tangut books are unknown to the world.With the publication of Xixia Lit-erature Hidden in China,Literature of Heishui City Hidden in Russia,Literature of Heishui City Hidden in England and Literature of Dunhuang Hidden in France,the study on Tangut history and Tangut books had stepped into a new stage.The publication of these four sets of facsimiles not only makes the Tangut books culture clear,including devising Tangut scripts,translating and printing Buddhist texts,but also widens and enriches Tangut history recorded in traditional Chinese classics.
