On June 30,2021,Clarivate Analytics released the 2020 SCI journal citation report.The SCI impact factor of Petroleum Exploration and Development is 3.803 and creates a new historical record.Ranked 3rd in the global petroleum engineering SCI journals,it continues to maintain the Q1 area,and it ranks 56th among the199 SCI journals in the global earth sciences category,up 7 places from 2019,and continues to be in the Q2area.
