翻译操纵论视角下中国典籍复译研究——以理雅各《诗经》译本为例

On Retranslation of Classic Books from the Perspective of Manipulation Theory:Taking the Retranslation of Legge’s The She King as an Example

在中华传统文化"走出去"的时代背景需求下,不断更新复译典籍翻译成为一种翻译实践趋势。文章在安德烈·勒菲弗尔的操纵论视角下,通过探析理雅各《诗经》初译本和复译本的策略和语言特征,总结中国典籍翻译活动如何受到意识形态、赞助人与诗学等因素的操纵,以期为我国方兴未艾的典籍复译工程提供建设性意见。

With the increasing influence of traditional Chinese culture,it has become a trend to constantly update the translation of classical books.From the perspective of manipulation theory by AndréLefevere,this paper analyzes the differences between the original and the retranslation of The She King by James Legge,and concludes how the translation text is manipulated by ideology,sponsors and poetics,so as to provideconstructive suggestions for the huge retranslation project of Chinese classics.
