Promoting Hong Kong’s“One Country,Two Systems”Under the New Situation

"一国两制"是邓小平提出的伟大构想,其成功解决了香港和澳门地区的回归问题,为推动祖国和平统一大业做出了突出的贡献。随着时代的发展,香港地区出现了新的问题,"一国两制"面临着新的挑战。"修例风波"在香港引起了巨大的骚乱,为了维护香港特别行政区的繁荣和稳定,2020年6月30日十三届全国人大常委会第二十次会议正式通过了《中华人民共和国香港特别行政区维护国家安全法》。这部法律是"一国两制"的最新成果,回顾"一国两制"的历史脉络,有利于进一步认识香港国安法的重要意义,也为探究新形势下更好地推动"一国两制"在香港的发展提供借鉴意义。

"One Country,Two Systems"is a great idea proposed by Deng Xiaoping,which successfully solved the reunificationof Hong Kong and Macao and madeoutstanding contributions to the promotion of the peaceful reuni-fication of the motherland.With the development of the times,new problems have emerged in Hong Kong and"One Country,Two Systems"is facing new challenges.In order to maintain the prosperity and stability of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region,the Law of the People’s Republic of China on the Maintenance of National Security of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region,namely Hong Kong National Security Law,was formally adopted at the 20 th meeting of the Standing Committee of the 13 th National People’s Congress on June 30,2020.This law is the latest achievement of"one country,two systems",and reviewing the historical context of"one country,two systems"is conducive to further understanding the significance of the Hong Kong National Securi-ty Law,as well as to exploring how to better promote"one country,two systems"in the new situation.It also provides a reference for better promoting the development of"one country,two systems"in Hong Kong under the new situation.
