Diagnosis and treatment of a foreign body in duodenum of a feline

1例猫发生消化道异物阻塞,第一次就诊时误诊为胃肠炎,经过3 d消炎和止吐处理后仍有呕吐,转诊后进行一般临床检查,结合影像学检查初步诊断为十二指肠异物阻塞;通过手术剖腹取出异物为完整的腌制土鸡蛋,7 d后预后良好。结果表明,影像学检查是确诊消化道异物最快速、最准确的方式;当异物较大难以通过内窥镜取出时,应尽快选择手术剖腹取出。

A case of a feline with a foreign body obstruction in digestive tract was misdiagnosed as gastroenteritis at the first visit.After three days of anti-inflammatory and antiemetic treatment,the feline was still vomiting.General clinical examination was performed after referral,combined with imaging examination,the initial diagnosis was duodenal foreign body obstruction,and the foreign body was taken out by surgical laparotomy to be a complete salted egg.The prognosis was good seven days later.The diagnosis and treatment experience showed that imaging examination was the fastest and most accurate way to diagnose foreign bodies in the digestive tract.When the foreign bodies are large and difficult to be removed through the endoscope,surgical laparotomy should be selected as soon as possible.
