中国共产党对马克思主义群众观最重要的运用就是坚持群众路线,密切联系群众,这既是党在长期革命和建设中的根本工作路线,也是党与人民群众血肉联系的历史凝结。第二次国内革命战争时期,党在鄂豫皖三省交界处的大别山地区坚决依靠群众、组织群众进行革命斗争,大力开展群众工作,创建了在中国新民主主义革命历程中有着非常重要地位的鄂豫皖苏区,给“为什么要依靠群众,怎样依靠群众,怎样做好群众工作”的重大命题提供了丰富的实践解读,为新时期做好群众工作提供了具有现实意义的经验借鉴。
