马克思主义在发展过程中持续出现"什么是马克思主义"的追问。对于这一现象,要结合现代阐释学的相关原理,深入其发生机制的认识论层面,揭示出马克思主义的发展就是不同时代和不同社会的人,带着由时代和社会提出的问题所决定的"前见",对马克思主义形成创造性的理解并运用这种理解去解决时代和社会提出的问题的过程。这种追问表面上看好像是马克思主义遇到了一场危机,实质却蕴涵着推动马克思主义实现飞跃性发展和形成马克思主义新形态的契机。澄清这一点,对于马克思主义发展史学科的研究具有十分重要的意义。

In the course of the development of Marxism, the question of "what is Marxism" continues to appear. For this phenomenon, we must combine the relevant principles of modern hermeneutics, go deep into the epistemological level of its generation mechanism, and reveal that the development of Marxism is the process of forming a creative understanding of Marxism made by these people in different eras and different societies with foresight which is conditioned by these questions posed by the era and society, and using this understanding to solve problems raised by the times and society. On the surface, this kind of inquiry seems to be that Marxism has encountered a crisis, but in essence it contains an opportunity to promote the rapid development of Marxism and the formation of a new form of Marxism. To clarify this point is of vital importance to the study of the history of Marxism.
