Objective To investigate the status of hyponatremia knowledge and learning requirements of clinicians. Methods Data were collected from 00:00 on August 2,2020 to 00:00 on August 12,2020 by using the"Questionnaire Star",to compare the differences in the knowledge of hyponatremia among respondents of different hospital levels, professional and technical positions, and educational levels, and summarized and descriptive analyzed the responses to each question.SAS9.4 software was used for data analysis, and P<0.05 indicated statistically significant differences. Results A total of 450 people were surveyed,of whom 354(78.67%)worked in the tertiary hospitals;123(27.33%)held senior and associate senior professional and technical positions;and 287(63.78%)held doctoral and master′s degrees. The higher the level of the hospital, the higher the level of the professional and technical position and the higher of the level of education, the higher the correct rate of answering questions. There were 88.44%(398/450)of the respondents who believed that the patient′s condition was corrected within one week during the hyponatremia treatment, and 56.22%(253/450)thought that it was one to three days and 32.22%(145/450)thought it was four to seven days;52.00%(234/450)of the respondents thought that the correction rate of the hyponatremia was greater than 60%;82.22%(370/450)of the respondents did not receive professional training on hyponatremia during their employment and considered it"necessary"to provide the medical staff with hyponatremia related train;69.56%(313/450)of the respondents obtained the relevant knowledge through medical books, and 72.23%(325/450)of the respondents preferred to learn through online or new media. Conclusion Hyponatremia is the most common type of electrolyte disorder in the clinic.Low awareness of hyponatremia among clinicians is an important factor leading to poor prognosis of the patients. Therefore,it is urgent to improve clinicians′awareness of hyponatremia,to learn through new methods,to improve the cure rate of hyponatremia,to improve patients′prognosis and to reduce medical costs.
