后殖民理论与文化翻译

Postcolonial Theory and Cultural Translation

自20世纪80年代以来,翻译理论层出不穷,译学研究超越了传统的语言中心主义模式,赞助人、诗学、意识形态、权力、政治等因素不断地被纳入研究范围,跨学科趋势日益明显,译学界呈现出理论繁荣的盛景。在翻译研究实现“文化转向”后,后殖民理论观点被用来审视翻译与权力的关系问题。本文拟分层次阐述后殖民理论对翻译研究领域的影响,厘清后殖民翻译理论的主要观点,探讨其引发的问题,并预测其发展方向。

Since the 1980s,translation theories emerge in an endless stream,and translation studies have gone beyond the traditional linguo-centric model,taking patronage,poetics,ideology,power and politics into account in their research.Translation studies has been booming these years,with its interdisciplinary feature conspicuous daily.After the“cultural turn”in translation studies,various postcolonial theories have been used to probe into the relationship between translation and power.This article is aimed to discuss the great influence that the postcolonial theories have exerted on translation studies,in an attempt to clarify the main thoughts,probe into the problems,and to predict the future orientation of translation studies.
