Since the 1990s there has been an eruption of ecofeminist literary criticism and ecofeminism was finally making itself felt in literary studies.Critics are beginning to make the insights of ecofeminism a component of literary criticism.Ecofeminist literary criticism is a critical theory in process and the process of its formation has been characterized for more than twenty years.This article tries to retrospect the rise and development of ecofeminist literary criticism,examine the influences of ecocriticism,feminist criticism and ecofeminism on this in-process theory,and then make an attempt to sum up the specific features of ecofeminist literary criticism at the present stage.
