Microparticles(MPs)are small membranous vesicles that are shed from membrane to extracellular under stress or injury. In addition to the effects on inflammation, coagulation, tumor, and so on,the role of different cell-derived microparticles in coronary heart disease has also been widely concerned. On the positive side,it can protect the myocardium in the occurrence and development of coronary heart disease, and MPs circulating concentration and surface markers can distinguish different types and degrees of coronary heart disease,so it can be used as a marker to distinguish diseases and judge the degree of injury. On the down side,MPs directly or indirectly are involved in a series of pathological processes such as endothelial function deterioration, thrombosis, and myocardial injury. It is closely related to the occurrence and development of coronary heart disease and is expected to be a potential target for intervention and treatment.
