摘要
From August 1940 to August 1942,with the joint efforts of editors and translators,the Japanese journal Mongolia published nearly 20 introductions,including illustration,translation,summaiy of chapter content,explanation of word meaning and so on.Although some of the contents were wrong,introducing the exploratory steps of Jangar to Japanese scholars is a beneficial for broadening the knowledge of Mongolian folk literature of Japanese readers.This paper comments on the introduction of Jangar published in the journal Mongolia,and corrects some wrong views related to the translatorTani Kohei.
