Appreciation of the Film Hotel Rwanda from the Perspective of Visual Anthropology

《卢旺达饭店》是根据真实历史事件卢旺达种族大屠杀拍摄的影片,主要讲述饭店胡图族经理保罗在种族仇杀发生之际,拯救图西族及胡图族难民生命的故事。本文拟在影视人类学视域下,从影片创作依据的历史事件、内容解析、运用手法进行阐述,以期能够权衡这部电影的利弊之处,解读其深层的种族冲突、权利意识和反思人性魅力,折射出民族国家自由发展之路。

The Hotel Rwanda is a film based on the real historical events of the Rwandan genocide.It mainly tells the story of Paul,the Hutu manager of the hotel,who saved the lives of Tutsi and Hutu refugees at the time of racial hatred.From the perspective of film and television anthropology,this paper expounds the historical background,content analysis and application of the film,in order to weigh the advantages and disadvantages of the film,interpret its deep ethnic conflict,power consciousness and reflection on the charm of human nature,and show the road of free development of the nation and the country.
