以李约瑟1964年访华之旅为中心,利用相关档案,梳理李约瑟在英中友好协会的建立和分裂中的态度,以及在英中了解协会组建过程中的工作,兼及参与帕格沃什会议与中国的联络事宜,展示他对中英友好事业所做出的重要贡献。
Focusing on Needham’s visit to China in 1964 and using the archives of the Chinese Ministry of foreign affairs,this paper explores Needham’s attitude and role in the splitting of the Britain-China Friendship Association(BCFA)and the formation of the Society for Anglo Chinese Understanding(SACU).The paper also involves his responsibility in the contact between Pugwash Conference with Chinese representatives.
