泽田瑞穗为研究中国民俗的知名日本学者,访华期间搜集了大量的中国民俗文献,其中包括宝卷、子弟书等在内的中国说唱文学文献。晚年他把这些文献捐献给了早稻田大学图书馆。该馆对这些文献进行了整理,其中《风陵文库目录》和数据库“中国民间信仰和庶民文艺”就是成果之一。泽田瑞穗的研究内容涉及宗教学、民俗学等多研究领域,主要贡献在于宝卷的整理和研究,代表作《增补宝卷研究》可谓日本学界研究宝卷的最高水平。其兼顾文学研究和宗教研究的学术研究路径为后来学者提供了示范。

Sawada Mizuho is a renowned Japanese scholar on Chinese folk cultures and he has collected large amounts of Chines folk documents which include ballad literature documents such as Baojuan and Zidishu.In his later years,these documents were donated to the library of Waseda University and were collated there,out of which Fengling Libary Catalogue and the database"Chinese Folk Beliefs and Literature and Art of Common People"are the major achievements.Sawada's research involves multiple fields such as religion and folk culture and his main contribution lies in the collation study of Baojuan.His representative work,Supplemented Baojuan Research,which combines literature and religion research,stands as the highest level of Baojuan research in Japan and is a model for upcoming academic studies.
