摘要
本研究考察反馈方式和工作记忆容量对中国学习者英语写作能力的影响。参与研究的受试者为36名英语专业大学生,反馈采用显性反馈和隐性反馈两种方式,工作记忆容量通过阅读广度测试进行测量,写作能力从写作的准确性、流利性、复杂性三方面进行评定。研究结果显示,反馈方式和工作记忆容量与写作准确性和复杂性显著相关,但与写作流利性不存在显著相关。这说明反馈方式和工作记忆容量对中国学习者英语写作能力起着重要的制约作用。
This study investigated the effects of oral corrective feedback and working memory capacity on Chinese learners'English writing ability.Thirty-six English majors participated in the study.They were given explicit feedback and implicit feedback respectively and their working memory capacity was measured by Reading Span Test.The English writing production was assessed in terms of accuracy,fluency and complexity.The results revealed that the feedback mode and working memory capacity correlated significantly with accuracy and complexity,but not with fluency in English writing production,which indicates that the feedback mode and working memory capacity significantly constrain Chinese learners'English writing ability.
