前景化理论在小说文本翻译中的运用

On Applying the Theory of Foregrounding in Fiction Translation

在翻译文学作品的过程中,不仅需要将文本的内容展现出来,而且要在译文中体现作品的文学艺术风格及作者的写作内涵。前景化语言可以在作品中融入原作者的语言风格。因此,能否将小说文本翻译得恰到好处,取决于能否合理应用前景化手段。翻译人员要认真思考作者用语的实际用意,甄别文本中存在的前景化语言,从而寻找更加合理的翻译方式,使语言具有更强的表现力。

In the process of translating literary works,translators need not only to reproduce the contents,but also to embody the literary and artistic style as well as the author’s writing connotation.Foregrounding language can integrate the author’s original language style in the works.Whether the fiction can be translated successfully or not depends on the reasonable application of foregrounding language.Translators should carefully consider the actual meaning of the author’s language,identify the foregrounding language in the text,so as to fi nd a more reasonable way of translation and make the language more expressive.
