跨文化传播与交往中的“他者欲望”

"The Desire of the Other"in Inter-cultural Communication and Interaction

文章基于拉康的精神分析理论,探究跨文化传播过程中主体间性背后的欲望结构,以及"他者欲望"如何在交往理性中发挥多重作用,以期对理性认同的深层运作机制有新的认识,为跨文化传播中不同意义符号的缝合提供新的视角。研究表明,在跨文化交往中,作为主体欲望根源的匮乏导致与"大他者"的象征性认同存在缺失,但这一深层欲望同样推动着主体持续地追寻认同他者的欲望以及被他者认同的欲望,借助跨文化传播过程中的交往理性完善自我建构。此外,由于主体在他者的位置欲望,欲望对象的重合会引发矛盾冲突,这是交往理性需要应对的难题,但同时也为缝合点的意义整合创造更多契机。

From the perspective of Lacanian psychoanalytic theory,this study seeks to explore the structure of desire behind intersubjectivity and the multiple roles that"the desire of the Other"assumes in establishing communicative rationality to revisit the underlying mechanism for rational identification,which may develop a new approach to comprehending the convergence of different signifiers.The findings indicate the lack that the subject desires leads to the incompleteness of symbolic identification with the Other in inter-cultural communication.In the meanwhile,this fundamental desire exerts a strong influence on the desire to identify with other and desire for recognition by other,which contributes to self-actualization by means of communicative rationality.Furthermore,given the interpretation that the subject desires from the position of other,communicative rationality needs to deal with the conflicts related to the overlapped objects of desire,which also opens up more opportunities for the reconstruction of meaning at the point of convergence.
