MAN Group and IAV have developed an electric saniation truck,which has a battery electric system and a range extender module.The range extender module is based on an internal combustion engine that runs on compressed natural gas(CNG)and a generator commonly used to drive passenger cars.By using the range extender module,the range of electric trucks will be greatly increased.
