技术时代面向语言服务市场的语料库笔译教学模式研究——基于“译学家”语料库翻译教学平台的教学案例分析 被引量:9

Toward a Language Service Market-Oriented and Corpus-Based Translation Teaching Model in the Age of AI and Big Data

摘要 基于语料库的翻译教学为我国翻译人才的培养带来了新的契机。但在翻译专业中,笔译教学语料库建设尚处于萌芽阶段,语料库囿于学校或机构,应用范围不广,难以真正提升教学水平。“译学家”语料库翻译教学平台源于上海市MTI教指委的“MTI教学语料库”项目,该项目历经五年研发和构建,根据各翻译专业院校特色收集语料,编制语料库软件,建立了基于大数据、云平台的教学语料库。在平台试运行的教学活动中,发现传统翻译教学模式中的各要素在新时代技术赋能的语境下纷纷发生裂变,选材思维、备课模式、课堂设置、评估标准都需要进行相应变革。本研究基于泰勒的课程四要素,依托平台试教经验,提出以培养新时代语言服务人才为目标的笔译教学设计,探索该平台融入翻译专业院校的合理教学模式。 Corpus-based translation teaching has brought new opportunities for the training of competent translators in China.However,the construction of a corpus for translation teaching is still in its infancy.The corpus is confined to schools or institutions,thus making it difficult to truly improve the teaching quality."Yixuejia"corpus translation teaching platform originated from the research project"MTI Teaching Corpus"granted by Shanghai MTI Education Commission.After five years of research and development,the project has collected corpus from member universities,developed corpus software,and established a teaching corpus based on big data and cloud platforms.In the pilot operation of the platform,we found that the elements of the traditional translation teaching model will have to evolve to adapt to the technological advancement in the age of big data.The course design,course preparation,classroom setting,and evaluation standards all need to be changed accordingly.Based on the four elements of Taylor’scurriculum,and relying on the platform’spilot teaching experience,this research proposes a translation teaching model aimed at cultivating language service talents in the new era and explores a reasonable teaching model that integrates this platform into MTI education.The research sets out by analyzing the status quo of translation teaching,and tries to solve the problems of traditional teaching mode by relying on modern teaching technologies.Taking advantage of the big data platform,the teachers participating in the trial teaching of this research can continue to dig out scientific and objective conclusions from the students’learning process and explore their developing curve of professional translation"process behaviors"through translation cases in differentfields.In addition,through student translation quality comparison and teaching data analysis,teachers get realtime feedback on the validity and reliability of the assigned translation exercises and can modify the teaching mode according to the students’performance.In the translation courses,students not only use the system to carry out effective translation training but also get exposed to the operational and commercial procedures that meet the language service industry standards.Besides,they are also taking the most cutting-edge translation technology training.It can be said that the translation teaching model explored in this research addresses the problems faced by traditional translation teaching,changing the status quo of translation teaching that focuses on literary translation,and revolutionizing the course material that used to be heavily focused on text rhetoric and stylistic elements.Moreover,most teachers among the participating universities have shifted their concept of translation teaching and have adopted a new teaching model that is in line with the professional translation environment of the practitioners in the modern language service industry.In future research,when more MTI universities participate in the project,there is also possibility to propose translation teaching guidelines and curriculum objectives through teaching case demonstrations.The adoption of the corpus platform is also an opportunity to explore a new translation teaching model and establish academic connections.Finally,the advanced functions of the platform include translation testing and scientific research modules,fully utilizing the potential of a comprehensively built translation teaching corpus.
