With the acceleration of China’s economic development,earth shaking changes have taken place in all walks of life.Among them,hydropower engineering has attracted more attention.The successful grid connection of Baihetan Hydropower Station is another“national card”for China’s hydropower to lead the world,and has epoch-making milestone significance in the history of hydropower engineering construction.In the actual operation,the generator set of hydropower station will have various faults,which requires technicians to judge and maintain.Based on this,this paper first combs the development status of hydropower industry,then emphasizes the composition system and working principle of hydropower generator,then introduces how to diagnose faults and what kind of faults encountered in the operation of hydropower generator units,and finally puts forward relevant maintenance methods according to these faults,so as to give some technical suggestions to the maintenance personnel of hydropower station.
