Based on the background that“red”became the main theme of opera creation after the founding of New China,this paper analyzes the distinctive characteristics and spiritual and cultural values of Chinese Red Opera in cultures,politics and aesthetics,and expounds the promotion from the two levels of national culture and humanistic spirit.It believes that Chinese Red Opera in the new era should adhere to the development path of clear social value positioning,clear national spirit,and a combination of inheritance and innovation.
